Midwives

We attach great importance to properly informing expectant parents throughout their pregnancy. That is why we also offer consultations with the midwife on our campus. During these consultations, a midwife from our team will give you one-on-one information about pregnancy, labor, and delivery for an hour. She will be happy to answer your questions and assist you with practical tips and tricks. 

These midwife consultations are a supplement to the consultations with your gynecologist. For a first appointment, we would like to see you around 25 weeks of pregnancy. Your partner is also welcome. You can schedule an appointment through the hospital's gynecology secretariat. 

You can also choose to be monitored throughout your pregnancy by an independent midwife who can also monitor you and the baby at home after the delivery. You can find an independent midwife in your area via https://www.vroedvrouwen.be/zoek-een-vroedvrouw 

The hospital's management has decided that from July 1, 2022, independent midwives will no longer be allowed to perform their own deliveries in our delivery room. Your midwife is still welcome as a doula to provide guidance and we also continue to encourage pre- and postnatal follow-up by an (independent) midwife.
