At the Sint-Vincentius Hospital, you can go for prolapse ('sagging' of the bladder, uterus, or intestines) and incontinence complaints. Dr. Nathalie Renard has received additional training in Lille (France) for this.
The problem is viewed individually and together we draw up a plan of action. There is a possibility for urodynamic examination and multidisciplinary discussion with the radiologist, urologist, gastroenterologist, pelvic floor physiotherapist, or intestinal surgeon at Sint-Vincentius if necessary. For physiotherapy, you will be referred to a certified pelvic floor physiotherapist.
If desired, the complaints of your prolapse can be helped with a pessary (a vaginal ring), which is adjusted to size. Not all complaints require surgery, but if this is desired, we offer various techniques, both vaginally and laparoscopically (i.e. with keyhole surgery).
